New data shows just how heavily rising prices are weighing on Americans. In a Statista Consumer Insights survey of 7,326 U.S. adults conducted from January through July 2026, 53% named the high cost of living as one of the biggest challenges they currently face, more than double the share who cited mental health, physical health, or work-life balance at 26%, 26%, and 25% respectively. Housing and political or social issues tied at 18%, with age-related concerns and loneliness at 16% each. A separate Harris Poll survey for Quad found 74% of Americans now say price plays a bigger role in their shopping decisions than it did 12 months ago. Cost of living has become the defining pressure point for U.S. households. #CostOfLiving #Inflation #Economy 🌐 Find more market-moving insights at https://www.benzinga.com — your one-stop destination for the latest financial news, data, and expert analysis to stay ahead of the markets. 🖥️ Want the same tools the pros use—without the $10K Bloomberg terminal?
