Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) reports second-quarter 2026 earnings after the bell tonight and beyond the numbers, prediction market traders on Kalshi are already betting on which words CEO Elon Musk will say on the call. Cybercab and Robotaxi are near locks at 98% odds. Grok comes in at 60% after Tesla announced Tuesday that xAI's chatbot will control calls, music, and climate in its vehicles. SpaceX and xAI trade at 87%, while Merger sits at just 34% traders widely expect Musk to reference both companies while keeping merger language off the call entirely. The backdrop heading into earnings is strong on deliveries. Tesla reported a record 480,126 vehicle deliveries in Q2, up 25% year over year, and deployed a record 13.5 gigawatt-hours of energy storage both company records. The robotaxi service has also expanded to seven cities across three states, though the entire fleet remains Model Ys, with no Cybercabs in service yet. Tonight's number to watch is automotive gross margin. Wells Fargo has warned that the record delivery figure may have been fueled by price cuts, meaning higher volume could come at the cost of profitability. If margins hold steady, the quarter reflects genuine demand strength. If they compress, discounting drove the numbers. Options markets are pricing a 5.76% implied move on the results the largest options bet on a Tesla earnings night since October, according to CNBC.
