Bezos: AI Could Create Labor Shortage

Jeff Bezos told CNBC he does not believe AI is taking all the jobs. The Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) founder said AI may “elevate” workers and predicted a labor shortage, not mass job losses. The Benzinga article notes Amazon is committing $200 billion to AI in 2026 across its business lines. Bezos also said Amazon has not had AI-related layoffs, even as the company invests heavily in AI and robotics. Bezos argued AI could drive major productivity gains, potentially making food and housing cheaper.
